It is SO time....

for a blog post from moi! An incredible amount of time has elapsed since my last post and I am feeling a bit of shame! I think my biggest hangup is I see this as my personal stitching blog and if I don't have any pics to share of my recent stitching, then I might just as well be silent. And I know that isn't always the unwritten rule, so I am going to try to do better!

I do have a couple finishes, yay!

First is Mary Garry's Sewing Cabin 'Peace', which I finished and had framed, right before Retreat in June and just didn't have the chance to share it with you all here. And then after Retreat, I just kind of forgot that I didn't show you...but here she is...I made a few small changes in the design, but not many.

Mary Garry's Sewing Cabin 'Peace'
32 ct R&R Antique Cotton Linen
NPI Silk 636

Second, which I just finished stitching last week, but took to the framer today, is La-D-Da's Praise God:

 La-D-Da's Praise God
Stitched on 32 ct Linen (the name leaves me at the moment)
Recommended overdyed fibers by Weeks

I had the pleasure of SAL-ing the Praise God piece with my dear friend, Robin (she enjoys being referred to no-blog Robin, because she has no blog, but has several blogging friends and visits many of your blogs). It is always fun stitching along with another friend, don't you all think? Makes me a bit more accountable, and helps me get to the finish line quicker. Thanks, Robin, it was fun...when are we going to do the next one? lol

As for what I have been doing other than stitching the last couple of months, I can pretty much narrow it down to 2012 ToLS Retreat and visiting with my grandbabies and family! I have been getting the groundwork done a couple of new designs, as well, two original and a reproduction.

I will leave you now with two of my favorite people in the world, and this moment caught by their mother, shows their excitement, don't you think?

Thanks so very much for stopping by and leaving a comment! I understand how busy life gets, so when you visit AND leave a comment, I appreciate it more than you know! And I will be back sooner then the last time, promise!

Love, Jan

Just a postscript, if some of you aren't followers of my Tree of Life Samplings blog, you may not yet have read my interview at Norden Crafts! I am the designer feature this week on their blog: nordencrafts.blogspot.com. It was fun and I feel very honored!

What lovely stitching; the Praise God is going on my wish list, ;) That picture makes me want to do whatever they're doing - what cuties.

Gorgeous finishes! I know what you mean, I am bad about blogging when I don't have much stitching to show either. We will have to work on that. :) You have beautiful grandbabies!
