Two Year Blogoversary Giveaway, Edited with Picture!

Today is the day, Happy Blogoversary to Belfonte Notes!

I have not yet taken a picture to share of what will be in the Giveaway, but I assure you, it will be wonderful things! When I do, I promise to edit this post with a picture, so you can have a visual, which I know helps!

Here is a picture taken today on my office floor...sorry, it isn't a great picture, but at least you will have somewhat of a visual to see for yourself and also to display on your blog, for others to see. It includes 3 charts from Carriage House Samplings, 3 charts from Plum Street Samplers, 1/4 yard and 2-1/8 yard cuts of linen (the two in the picture of the 1/8ths are 40 ct and the 1/4 yard is 30 ct). If you win and you would prefer different counts, just say the word, and I will switch them out to counts more of your liking. Also in the picture you can see some skeins of 3 different companies: Gentle Art Sampler Threads, Weeks Dye Works and Crescent Colours. Several skeins of each too. Oh and do you see that small box in the center? It is full of sweet little stitching treasures and things to embellish your smalls with, ribbon, buttons and more buttons, rickrack and other sweet surprises! Good Luck!

All you need to do to be entered into the 2nd Blogoversary of Belfonte Notes, is:

#1, be a follower of this blog.

#2, comment in this thread, by no later then midnight daylight savings time on February 2, 2011. In your comment, share how long you have been online and what was your first experience that you remember, within a stitching community or yahoo group, or other avenue. Also be sure and have your email available to me, either here in the comments section or in your profile.

#3, if you have a blog, please mention this giveaway, if you do not, please don't worry about it, you will still be eligible to enter.

Also would like to take the time to mention, I am in the midst of planning a special weekend stitching retreat to be in Terre Haute, Indiana the end of June. If you are interested in receiving email news and specifics of this special retreat event, please do email me at treeoflife50@frontier.com. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know what they are.

Thanks for all of your visits to Belfonte over the last two years! I very much appreciate your comments and look forward to many more happy years of posting!

Love, Jan

Happy blogiversary to you, Jan! I've enjoyed your blog since the first I discovered it! I don't think I would ever have gone online if it weren't for the fact that I have a computer nerd for a husband. lol! Been online maybe 6 years? Dunno, I've lost track. lol! I started out with boards like Legacy and trolling ONS websites. I'm glad I've gone into blogging -- it's a great community!

Happy 2nd blogoversary! I am already a happy follower. I have only been online in the stitching community 2-3 years. I was a blog reader and lurker for over a year before I finally broke down and started my own blog. What inspirational postings there are in the blog world! Your giveaway is on my sidebar.

Hmmm, I thought I was already a follower. Oh well, I am now. :) So please enter me in your giveaway. (I just Love giveaways! LOL)

I too have been blogging a little over two years now. But I got involved in online yahoo stitching groups in 2003. Before that I had no idea of the many different stitching designs, fabrics, and floss there were! After that, as they say, the rest is history. :)

Happy 2 year anniversary with your blog and congratulations!

I have been part of an online community (through EZ Board now known as YUKU) since Dec. 2001 when I was given a "homework" assignment. I have truly enjoyed these stitching communities (they are like members of my extended family) as well as the wonderful stitching blogs out there!

I am a follower of blog! Thanks for the opportunity of winning your giveaway!

Happy Blogaversary Jan! It's been two years already?? Wow, time flies when you're having fun!!

I have been online since last June 2009, but I was blog reading long before that...my first blog read was Tanya's "The Sampler Girl"! Through her, I found more and more blogging goodness.

Please include me in your sweet giveaway, and I will be sure to post on my blog.

Congrats on your two-year mark...

happy blogoversary! Let's see....I have been a part of one particular yahoo group for about 8 years I think.....
I soon after joined the Hoosier Stitchers group!!!!

Happy blogaversary! My earliest memory of an online stitching community is a yahoo group Tanya of Sampler Girl had years ago- The Snowman Stitching Guild. I think that's what started it all for me as far as online stitching communities! Thanks for the chance at the giveaway- will go post on my blog now!

Hi Jan - I have been a follower of your blog for a long time - I set up my blog in 2005 so that is longer than I thought it was. I think the first on line thing I participated in was Ellen Chesters's With my Needle and Pen newsletter group to which I still belong. Legacy was the first online community of stitchers I participated in and rarely go there now. I am also a member of several yahoo groups but don't participate as much - just mostly spend my free PC time blog reading.
Thanks for the giveaway - congrats on your blogaversary! Mel

Happy blogaversary! I have had my blog http://thestripedrose.blogspot.com/ since 2007. I casually read The Sampler Girl's blog and finally knew I wanted my own when Tanya released her Harry Potter freebie. My blog has had a few identity crises over the years (gardening/homeschool) but now is cross stitch obsession!

Happy blogaversary! I've been on line for at least 15 years now. I started with the stitching boards on aol., then about 12 years ago found the internet groups.I'm still in an email loop with some of the friends I met on aol. I sarted my blog about a year and a half ago.I'll mention your give-away on my blog.

Happy blogaversary, here's to many more. I have been a needleworker for over 20 years, and when I first discovered online needlework shops I thought I was in heaven....until I discovered the blogs! I so enjoy reading all of them, and maybe one day I will figure out how to have my own...I am not too techno savy. I would love to be entered in the big giveaway.

Hi Jan and thanks for offering a lovely giveaway to celebrate your 2nd year of blogging! I have just celebrated my 2nd year also and am having a giveaway too! Please include me in yours! I have been stitching for ever I think but was inspired to blog to keep a journal of my projects and my group of ladies who I stitch with. I have enjoyed being a part of the Stitch A Long blog creating the Gardeners Journal Quilt, and have joined the 2011 Ornament blog in an effort to have 12 completed Christmas Decorations by December this year - let's see how we go with that one!! Great to "meet" you! Fiona x

Congratulations, Jan! I've been on-line for at least 10 years and one of my first experiences was with the bulletin board Cross Stitch Corner. We had a dial-up connection and it took foreeever for the board to load. Not to mention that we only had one computer at the time and I had to arrange my on-line time around my kids' need to use it for homework. It seems that some of us who are commenting "met" on Legacy which I still visit once in awhile.

I've been online since about 1990. AOL.

In terms of blogging and hobbies, my first memorable experience as I tried to figure out how to blog was forming friendships with fellow bloggers. I was stunned as I didn't expect it.

Happy 2nd Blogoversary my dearest Jan... and thank you for another lovely giveaway, Sugar!

I think I've been online since about 1996 or 1997 ~ I was in several writing groups and book clubs and then when I started stitching again in 2002 I joined several Yahoo stitching groups ~ started one of my own for a wee while and then I discoverd all the wonderful stitching blogs about five years ago and I started blogging about four years ago and have so loved getting to know all the sweet and lovely kindred stitchers around the world and sharing our love of needleworke! :)

Thank you for the wonderful opportunity to participate in another one of your lovely giveways, Hun!

Happy Anniversary Jan! Where does the time go?? I joined a Yahoo Group for stitchers of BAP's as my first 'group' experience about 5 years ago. I had to get a multiply account to be a part of this group, so I have that old blog still on my sidebar with early stitching pictures. I have only been stitching 'this' time for almost 5 years. I have enough stash to make that 20 years! Prior to that, I seem to remember visiting RCTN... and of course, Legacy. I remember when your first granddaughter was born, and now there are TWO! Wow! Of course, I should talk--I now have FOUR granddaughters! :) I would love to enter your Giveaway. Been a follower for a while now. Thanks.

Happy Blogoversary! I'm afraid my answer is rather boring. I barely knew blogs existed until my daughter started hers about 2 years ago. Somehow, quite by accident, I discovered just within the last year that there is a whole world of lovely stitchers online, and now I follow more than I can count and also have a bookmarked list of even more stitchy bloggers that I try to visit every weekend! You all inspire me to stitch even more than I had been, and the talent shown in your starts and finishes often blow me away. Maybe I'll jump in and get my feet wet with my own blog one of these days, but for now I am content to be thankful for all of you.

Hi Jan! Congratulations on your 2nd blogoversary! Our blogs are practically twins because I began mine just one day before yours--January 24th, 2009! I never knew blogs existed--it was my sons who told me that starting a blog would be a good way to keep track of my finishes. Little did I know it would open up a whole new world to me--wonderful stitchers and friends, amazingly inspirational photos, and lots of tempting new designs.

I would love to enter your giveaway and I'm having one of my own if you are interested :)

Happy blogaversary!

I am a follower. My earliest memory of an online stitching community would have to go back to 2005. I was just getting serious about stitching and went online to ask jeeves(thats pretty dated)LOL and typed in Cross Stitch. The 123 message Board came up so I went there and asked the board members MANY questions all were very onformative and patient. Little did I know how mush I would enjoy this hobby.

I just looked at my blog archive and I have been blogging since October 2007 WOW!! I had no idea it had been that long LOL

Thank you I look forward to see who is the lucky winner :)

Happy Blogoversary! I have been online with this hobby since 2008 March. When i was expecting my son - i put in lots of effort on a kit that was a gift from my brother - Bucilla's Grapevine Wreath. 2008 March was when my son was born, and late nights i would go to my computer. I got introduced to eBay, purchased my first cross stitch kit (Dimensions, Frederick the Literate), found out in LJ about stitching communities, became a member, joined my first SAL there. Then the network just widened. Now i am in many yahoo groups, i have my own blog since 2009 March. I find stitching therapeutic. I stitch in the night when my house is quiet. I.love.it!

Thanks for this giveaway. Good luck to all!

Where has your blog been all this time - SO glad to have found it! I learned of your ridiculously generous giveaway from another blog (Thread Gatherer?). But, your blog is so gorgeous anyway - look at those two beautiful children!

My first online experience with the stitching community came shortly after my first stitching retreat. I was at a Stitcher's Hideaway retreat in Minnetonka Minnesota - Jeanette Douglas teaching - what a treat! During that retreat someone mentioned the message board from 123 Stitch. The rest is history - I spend WAY too much time online now - but it's all fun!

Love your blog and many wishes for continued success. I use the internet often to view stitching blogs and stores. I started cross stitching when I was 4 months pregnant and put on complete bedrest. Cross stitching helped keep me from going crazy. I have a happy, healthy 11 yrs old son and a wonderful hobby as a result.
Fingers crossed you pull my name!

I can't even remember how long I've been online, but since the very beginning I discovered the 123 Stitch message board which I still peruse today. Our cross stitch group that consists of 4 ladies has been in existence since 1993 and we just celebrated our 1st Bloggiversary. What fun!

I started my blog in May 2007 after being a reader for a long while. What I remember is seeing everyone's gorgeous stitching and all of the things I wanted to do, too. I just didn't realize that there were so many stitchers out in blogland that were sharing their work.

Thanks for letting me enter!
