Once again it has been forever since I posted! I am late in wishing you all a Happy New Year, not to mention, I didn't get to post you a Merry Christmas for 2009! Regardless, I wished both for you all, albeit silently!
I have a couple of finishes that got framed a couple of days before Christmas and I am so pleased with how they turned out!
First of all is Hands To WorkThis Is The Day and here is a not so great picture of it hanging on my wall:
And one of a closeup of the frame:
I just love, love, love this frame!!!
And the other piece that visited the frame shop, Prairie Moon'sHoliday Farm!
And a pretty good example of the frame, close-up:
I just know that both of these frame moldings will be chosen again for something else that I stitch!
Christmas....was an extra special happening here, I thoroughly enjoyed having my family all here to celebrate Christ's birth! The only downside was waking up at 4 in the morning on Christmas Day in lots of pain, couldn't lay down and go back to sleep, so I got up and sat in the living room. Wasn't long before daughter Ashley was up with the baby, and I asked her as nicely as I could, if she could handle by herself the meal I had planned to fix for everyone. She was gracious, and I knew very efficient to get the job done, but I really hated having to do that. To make a long story short, ( I thought I had broken a rib or something), I visited the doctor the next week, and found out I had pneumonia! I was really surprised, had no idea it was something like that, although number 2 son, Dusty, who is an RN had hinted at something like that. Anyway, that is what I have been doing ever since, trying to get back my health, slowly but surely getting there, but I do know I have to patient, because I am definitely no spring chicken and pneumonia takes a while to get over. So taking it slow and easy, even though I am behind on everything!
Stitching...Due to having to lay low and take it easy, I have been stitching, as long as I can stay awake that is! I am working on two projects, CHS's Matter's Choice and La-D-Da's Watchful Eye. Enjoying them both and hope to be able to share some pics soon of either progress or maybe even a finish!
I appreciate you stopping by, and I am thankful and blessed for your lovely comments! Enjoy your day and make some fun with your stitching!
First of all, I am a mother and grandmother, lover and follower of God and I hope a good friend to many!
I am in my 3rd year of designing, under the name Tree of Life Samplings. My desire is to create samplers and other cross stitch designs, that you will truly enjoy stitching. I certainly enjoy designing them. I also started dyeing linens in 2011, and I wish I had more hands, but all is fun!
One thing I have learned in my 'years', is that one should never lose sight of their dreams, no matter how old you are! This is my dream, to be a cross stitch designer and these are the pages that will be for sharing...tidbits here and there, new releases, and sneak peeks! So be sure and follow and I hope you enjoy your visits here!
