Finally, a Fini!

Hello there, dear blogging friends, it has been longer then I would have liked since my last post. But I have been so caught up with work and family, haven't hardly had the chance to check out your blogs even.

If you haven't been to my design blog Tree of Life Samplings, I wanted to show you my latest finish, the second in the Emma Rose Series, Emma Rose Christmas:

Definitely my personal stitching time has been at a minimum, since I had to stitch the above and change several things as I was stitching. But I did get some time afterwards to finish up Blackbird Designs Sunflower House. Sorry if these pics are out of order, thanks to Blogger messing with me. The one picture I took of the entire project, turned out horribly and way too dark. It was a fun stitch, can't wait to get it framed now.

Currently finishing up an exchange piece, so can't show that until much later! Really busy with working on new designs, hopefully to have released for the Nashville Market in February. It does take awhile to put a design all together, from start to finish and with Thanksgiving and Christmas upon us, the time will go swiftly, I am sure!

Thanks for visiting, hoping to have some time to visit you in the next few days. Thanks also for taking the time to comment, you are all the best!!

Thankful today for my son in law, Josh, for being such a wonderful husband to my daughter and a super father to my two granddaughters.

Much Love, Jan

Living Simply With Joy!!

Although time is still fleeting these days, and it has seemed like forever since I last posted, it has been a good life, with much joy, family and love! I do have a finish to share, I put in the last stitches last evening, on this sweet piece.

Primitive Needle's Simply Live
40 ct R&R Cafe Kona Linen
Converted Fibers to Crescent Colours and Weeks

I have been trying to post all afternoon, I have several different pics, non- stitching related to share with you, dear friends. But since blogger isn't allowing, I will wait until tomorrow to try again!I also will be getting back to stitching on Eve by La-D-Da this evening, so hoping to show you an updated pic of her!

Thanks so much for reading, visiting and posting such encouraging and uplifting comments! You are all the best! Have a great few days, until next time!

I have been asked for my conversion to this great project, so here goes:

Old Rose ~ Apple Fritter Crescent Colours
Aged Black ~ Blacksmith Blue Crescent Colours
Antique Violet ~ Bamboo or Toasted Marshmallow Crescent Colours
Olive Green ~ Kudzu Weeks
Withered Blue ~ Tartan Plaid Crescent Colours
Tarnished Gold ~ Ye Olde Gold Crescent Colours
Rusted Orange ~ Colonial Copper Crescent Colours
Brown ~ Hickory Sticks Crescent Colours

I did make another change, as I was stitching, I decided to use Hickory Sticks, instead of Colonial Copper for the two borders at the top and bottom of the alphabet. Felt it was just too much of the orange.

7 Days Progress Update & Small Finish

I didn't get alot more done, but I did manage some on Plum Street Samplers Seven Days of Creation. Wanted to share anyway, showing the previous pic, as it shows more the color of linen more accurately. This is before:

And this is after a bit more stitching, this is a horrible pic, no sunlight and lots of wrinkles! I won't be returning to this one for awhile, have too many screaming my name! And.I.know.you.all.know.how.that.is.

And a small finish from last week, this is LHN's Seasonal Saltbox Series, the Summer Square, three done, one more to go. Stitched on 40 ct Vintage Lentil:

Thanks bunches for your wonderful comments and I hope you have a blessed week!
