I am stitching with the listed DMC cause this is what I have most in stash. For the fabric I have chosen not to go with embroidery fabric at all. Instead I am using an uneavenweave raw linen from India that we usually use for upholstering furniture. I think it will give the sampler a nice antique touch. I always think that your conversions and fabric choices are the best and have been the reason I've wanted to start some things (should I call you an enabler???) I think I've got a few Quakers (including Beatrice) in the pile, but I've made note of your conversion, because you just never know and just by the picture, I know that I would love your colors!
